Igor Linhart and Michal Himl

We work in the field of the chemistry of purine and amino acid derivatives and their applications in toxicology of mutagens and carcinogens.


To interested students we offer:

  • work on interesting research projects
  • possibility to acquire both practical and theoretical skills in organic chemistry and chemical toxicology
  • getting familiar with modern methods of structure analysis, such as NMR and MS (including measuring and interpretation of spectra)
  • understanding scientific literature in the fields of organic chemistry and chemical toxicology (including work with chemical data bases e.g. SciFinder, Reaxys)
  • individual approach and support in the preparation of diploma and bachelor theses
  • possibilities to continue as PGS (in the Czech Republic or abroad)
  • good job positions after finishing studies
  • friendly working environment
